BLA VUW, MLA HKU
Co-founder

Tony is a designer with a curious mind and a hand in many things. After spending eight years in New Zealand, he returned to Hong Kong and worked in branding before completing his Master of Landscape Architecture at HKU. He then spent two years as a teaching assistant, where he continued to explore new ways of thinking through making.

Now, as co-founder of noodo lab, Tony brings together his interest in multidisciplinary design and his motivation for advanced fabrication. He’s especially fascinated by the synthesis between analogue and digital — finding unexpected connections between handcraft, computation, and machine logic. His master’s thesis focused on the role of AI and robotics in landscape architecture, and that spirit of experimentation continues to shape the studio today.

halsey huang.

BA SXU, Current MLA HKU
Co-founder

Halsey is a designer with a background in architecture from Shaoxing University and is currently pursuing her Master of Landscape Architecture at HKU. During her undergraduate studies, she took part in a faculty-student collaborative design studio on real-world architectural and interior projects — an experience that inspired her early vision for starting a design practice.

At noodo lab, Halsey brings a people-focused and culturally grounded perspective to spatial design. She’s passionate about creating personalised, emotionally resonant spaces that reflect both human needs and local character. Her work spans small-scale architecture, interiors, landscapes, and furniture — always shaped by logical design thinking and hands-on experimentation.

BA POLYU , MLA HKU
Co-founder

Tat is a designer with a strong interest in experimental design and the reinterpretation of Hong Kong’s craftsmanship and cultural narratives. With a background in environmental and interior design from PolyU and a Master of Landscape Architecture from HKU, his work often explores how material, form, and memory intersect in spatial storytelling.

He draws inspiration from across disciplines — especially from film and video games. Whether it's the moody atmosphere of Blade Runner, the layered timelines of Interstellar, or the world-building of Death Stranding, these influences continue to shape how he imagines and builds.

At noodo lab, Tat brings a playful yet thoughtful approach to design, constantly testing ideas through hands-on making and digital experimentation.

BA(LA) GZHU, Current MLA HKU
Designer & Marketing Manager

Bessie is a designer who works at the intersection of logic and intuition. With a background in landscape architecture from GZHU and current studies at HKU, she brings a thoughtful approach to every project — balancing natural systems with human behaviour and psychological insight.

At noodo lab, she contributes to design development while also shaping how the studio communicates its ideas. From refining spatial concepts to curating our voice across social platforms, Bessie ensures that what we make — and how we share it — stays clear, considered, and connected.

Domestic Shorthair
Studio Observer

Quiet, alert, and always a little skeptical, Soymilk prefers to stay just out of reach — but always within eyesight. He’s rarely the first to investigate, but never misses a detail. You'll usually find him watching the team from a discreet perch, suspicious of sudden noises and overly friendly objects.

Secret talent: Sensing when the filament is about to run out — and walking across the keyboard at exactly the wrong moment.

Head of Distraction

Milktea made one visit to the studio and immediately claimed the couch as her domain. Affectionate and opinionated, she believes all meetings should be held on soft surfaces and all design reviews should include chin scratches. When not offering unsolicited feedback, she excels in mood management and demanding treats.

Secret talent: Detecting when the camera is on — and striking the perfect pose, every time.
