The Galleria’s existing character became the starting point for our design for @chartcoffee. Its timber shopfronts, classical detailing and understated sense of luxury informed a space that sits naturally within the mall, drawing on the visual language of 1980s–90s Hong Kong.

Warm timber is paired with stainless steel, while chequered floor tiles reference traditional cha chaan teng interiors. Menu typography draws from 鑼機體, the lettering associated with router-cut acrylic signage, and a vintage CRT television is repurposed as an order display.

A custom 3D-printed pendant light brings a warm glow above the counter. Accents of Chart’s signature yellow connect the lighting, graphics and everyday objects, giving the shop its own identity within a familiar setting.
