Commissioned by HKTDC, we designed and produced a series of trophies and mementos for the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest YDC 2026. Inspired by the fluidity of fabrics, the trophy translates the folds and movement of draped textiles into a sculptural form. Its gathered silhouette opens into an undulating crown, capturing a sense of fabric held in motion.

The project marks the first commercial application of our non-planar 3D printing technique. Through custom toolpaths, we explored how printed layers could follow the changing contours of the form, bringing our fabrication process into close dialogue with the design. Translucent colours catch the light across the folds, highlighting their depth, rhythm and texture.

From initial design through to final production, the commission brings together our approach to bespoke objects and experimental fabrication— celebrating emerging fashion talent through an exploration of form and making.
